Pre Booking

I want to make a booking, what happens next?

Once you complete a reservation, you'll receive a voucher via email with your booking details. You'll need to show this voucher at the rental desk upon pickup. Don't worry if you lose it, the supplier will have your booking in their system.

I have never heard of Crazy Car Hire, how long have you been operating?

We've been operating since 2006! Thousands of customers use Crazy Car Hire daily for their rental needs. We're partnered with one of the largest car rental technology providers in the world.

What are the Terms & Conditions of Rental?

The terms & conditions for Car Hire differ depending on your Country, Rental Agent and Vehicle Type. You should always read and understand the details of the rental conditions before completing your booking. These terms and conditions can be found on the quotation page of the booking process by clicking the Rate Details link to the right of the car type. They can also be found on the third and final step of the booking process under the Rental Conditions link to the bottom of the confirmation page. Finally, if you are still in any doubt or can no longer see the terms and conditions of Rental after booking, you should review your confirmation voucher. Crazy Car Hire is not liable for bookings made where a customer has failed to review the Terms and Condition of Rental.

What is the fuel policy?

The fuel policy is set by the car rental agent. Usually there are 2 fuel policies "pick-up full, return full" or "pick-up full, return empty". The fuel policy applying to your rental will be specified in your rental's Terms and Conditions, which can be found throughout the booking process. Please also ask the Rental Agent when you pickup the car.

Are there any Age Restrictions?

Age restrictions are set by the car rental agent. Due to insurance restrictions, the car rental agent may have a minimum or maximum age of the driver they can rent to. You may find any age restriction applying to your rental in the Rental Terms and Conditions (or Rate Details). Some car rental agents also have a young or senior driver's fee for specific age groups

How many kilometers/miles can I drive?

Some cars may have an unlimited kilometre policy or limits per day or per rental. Please check the "Rental Conditions" for each car to see the limitations (if any) on mileage/kilometres.

Can I have additional drivers on my rental?

You can put additonal drivers on the rental policy usually for an extra fee. We sometimes include FREE additional drivers for some cars so have a look at our car hire deals to see if this applies. If you require an additional driver you can include this at the time of booking.

Car Rental Insurance


What is CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)?

If CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is included in your rental this refers to a form of insurance covering any damage to the vehicle.It is wise to check the the CDW also covers damage to tyres, windows and wheels. The CDW usually includes an Excess (ie. a payment required in case of collision or damage) which can be reduced sometimes with higher insurance.

What is TP?

TP is Third Party Liability protection - which covers other drivers and cars in case of an accident.

Can I take out additional insurance?

You can ask for any additional insurance at the Car Rental supplier when picking up the car.

Payment


Can I book without a Credit Card?

Yes. You can make a booking without a credit card (using a Debit Card) on our site however you'll still need a valid Credit Card in the Drivers name at the time of pickup. This is because the rental agent requires a credit card from which to take the rental deposit. Accepted Credit Cards for pick-up include MasterCard, Visa, and, in some cases, American Express.

Additional Inclusions


I want a GPS with my hire car?

You can include a GPS with your hire car usually for a small fee. Just add one on the booking form when booking the car. Some of our cars have a FREE GPS inclusion so check out our rental deals for more information.

I have a child, do you have booster seats?

Most rental car companies have booster seats for toddlers or baby seats. You can select it when booking the car as an additonal extra or ask when you get to the car hire depot.

Where can I view my voucher?

Your voucher is emailed to you after you make a booking. If you cannot find the email, you can print or view your voucher at any time by clicking on the following link and entering your details:

Car Pickup


What ID is required?

At a minimum you will need your Drivers Licence and your Passport or National ID card. You will also need your credit or debit card with names matching your Identification.

What documentation will I need?

The rental voucher we will send you as part of the booking confirmation contains all documents required at the time of pick-up. In most cases, in order to release the reserved vehicle, you need to bring:

  • Credit card in the name of the driver. Credit cards accepted for pick-up are MasterCard, Visa, and in some cases, American Express. Please consult your Booking Confirmation for list of accepted Credit Cards.
  • Driving licence. Please note that only a full licence held for minimum of 1 year with no major endorsements will be accepted.
  • Booking voucher. This will be sent to you within 48 hours of booking and must be printed out.
  • Any other forms of identification requested by the car rental agent in their terms and conditions. Details can be found on your rental voucher.

During Rental


Can I cross country borders in the Rental Car?

It depends on the rental car you are hiring. Please check the Rate details under "Cross Border Travel" for more information.

What if my car breaks down during a rental?

If your car breaks down, please check whether your car has Breakdown Assurance included in your rate. It would be advised to contact the rental car company as soon as possible for immediate help. Refer to your voucher for the contact details or your rental agreement. If after hours - there should be an After Hours phone number to call in case of an emergency.
