Thrifty was founded in 1950 and has since become one of the leading Car Rental companies in the World. They now operate in over 75 Countries spanning 1000 locations worldwide. In 1990 it was combined with Dollar Rent a Car in conjunction with its new owner Chrysler who purchased the company in 1989. Today the company has approximately 7,000 employees of which 700 of them are located in its original home of Tulsa Oklahoma, USA.
